Múinteoir Maria

My name is Múinteoir Maria. I began working in Gaelscoil Shliabh Rua in 2014. During this time, I have had the opportunity of experiencing many areas of the working school, both inside and outside the classroom. I sat on the Bord of Management and was a member of the Inschool Management Team (Assistant Principal) for two years. Organising one or two of the first Seachtain na Gaeilge for the school was interesting and great fun, incorporating a Céilí, Games, a School Quiz and a Talent Show. It gives me great joy working with our children, teaching / sharing our Irish language, our culture while making every effort to give the children a fun and interesting education. It is an honour and a pleasure for me to be a part of this setting on a daily basis. The school has grown so much since it began. It is still growing and flourishing with a super team to support it.
