Príomhoide Ruth

My name is Ruth Mhic Adaim and I have been working in Gaelscoil Shliabh Rua since 2015. First as a teacher and now as principal from 2018. I have always loved languages, Irish in particular. I speak French and German also. In 2001, I completed PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate in Education)  in order to become a primary school teacher. I have been working in education ever since.

Rúnaí Sadhbh

I’m a secretary here because I reached a point where I wanted to be able to speak and use my Irish daily and be completely surrounded by it. I used Irish predominantly growing up and in secondary school and a little in College, but then it gradually dwindled over my working life as a ballet teacher. Towards the end of my teaching I was able to teach some classes through Irish but that wasn’t enough for me and now I can converse in Irish every day, I’m loving it.
