Welcome to Cairde Shalibh Rua (Parents Association)
The objective of Cairde Shliabh Rua (CSR) is to promote the interests of all the students in co-operation with the Board of Management, Principal, teachers and students. We also provide a forum for parents to become involved in matters pertaining to the development of the school by encouraging parents’ participation in promoting the well being and interests of all the pupils and the school whilst also supporting the school in its use and love of the Irish language.
We organise many fundraising events throughout the year and welcome any new or current parents to come along to our monthly meetings. All money raised is to assist the school and make it even better.
Once your child joins the school you automatically become a member of CSR, it is entirely up to each parent as to how involved they wish to be.
CSR is governed by a written constitution (see below) and the officers of the association are elected annually. CSR does not play the role of the Board of Management. There are separate elections for parental representation on the Board of Management.
We also have a Facebook page, so don’t forget to give us a LIKE ! It is a great place to keep up to date with upcoming events, fundraisers and news from CSR.
